To construct and validate an indigenous Grit culturally relevant evaluation measure which capture the experiences and unique values of young adults of collectivistic cultures comparable Pakistan. To develop the measure, a population-based sample of young adults (N = 658; age range 20-35) was accomplished. The study encompassed five phases. Eight semi-structured interviews were conducted in the item-generation phase. Through random sampling, a pilot study (N = 50), subsequently, exploratory factor analysis (N = 200) to identify dimensionalities, dimensionality confirmed through confirmatory factor analysis (N = 200), and a validation phase (N = 200). Thematic analysis of interviews developed three major themes with 27-items by expert review; sustained effort and firmness of purpose factors retained 24-items in EFA and confirmed 12 items in CFA (CFI = .94, GFI = .90, RMSEA = .08). The scale exhibited good convergent (r=.44) and divergent validity (r=-.12) and reliability (α=.91). This indigenous measure helps to assess perseverance with passion to guide therapeutic intervention to achieve long-term goals. This research which focuses on culturally sensitive tool bridges the gap between global and local constructs for future studies.
