Effect of Aroma Therapy on Insomnia Among Young Adults
Aroma therapy involves massage and satisfying odour with using essential oils, which may indirectly improve sleep. High-quality essential oils are ingested into the body through the skin or airways during aromatherapy. A growing number of people have insomnia. Insomnia characterized by continuous trouble getting asleep or staying happy when sleeping. This study focused on practical methods to enhance sleep quality, which benefits both psychological and physiological health. The current study's goal is to ascertain how aroma therapy effects insomnia. It also examines the insomnia among young adults (18-25). Experimental research design was used in this study by giving Lavender Essential Oil to participants. This study involves total 30 participants of both genders (15male and 15female). To gauge poor sleep and insomnia, the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and Insomnia Severity Index (ISI) were used. Data was analyzed through SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences). Finding out whether using aroma therapy had substantial effect on insomnia was the main objective of this study. The study attempts to decide any significant variations in the participant’s insomnia before and after the aroma therapy in order to maintain their sleep patterns.
