Interaction Effects of Skill and Motivation on Work Performance

The present study investigated the interaction effects of skill and motivation on the performance of industrial workers of Bangladesh. The study was also designed to measure and compare the motivation levels of the workers of private and public sectors. The study was conducted on a sample of 200 workers from two textile mills, one from private sector and other from public sector (taking 100 workers from each mill). They were selected randomly by using Random Number Table. The findings of the study indicated significant main effects and interaction effects of skill and motivation on the performance of the workers of both private and public sectors. The results further show that the workers of private sector are signijicm1tly better thm1 their counterparts in the public sector in terms of their motivation.
